Rachel, my sweet daughter-in-law. What a lovely way to remember your first experience at being pregnant and the joyous moment you bring your child into the world. Wow, 27 hrs of labor. You certainly outdid my time with Kelly of 15.5 hours in labor. You need to write all of that in your baby book so Ty will have it for his family.
You at least had your husband by your side. That's more than I had. During my day, my hospital had a new thing called labor/delivery room - the "all-in-one room". Most everyone spent time in 2 diff rooms (labor Rm & delivery Rm). The only bad thing was no one could be with you -- you were all alone. All I could think of was adoption! I guess it wasn't too bad because 4yrs later I gave birth to your Brion. I delivered him in bed, in the hospital, all by myself. My Dr.had his 1st "BIB" (Baby in Bed). They knocked me out and left me to sleep but Brion decided he'd waited long enough and it didn't matter his new mom had been put to sleep. But, as I found out later, I wasn't really asleep, as human nature kicked in, I sat up in bed, brought my head to my knees & delivered Brion right there in bed. The nurse came in as I dropped him on the bed
(guess like the old times when women dropped their baby in the fields).
Well, so glad I decided to have another child after Kelly or I'd never be given this wonderful Mother's day gift (5/11/08) my red-headed, beautiful grandson, Titus Matthew Spore. Just tell him his "Nana" Fox loves him already. Send pictures often. Love and God Bless to you, Brion and Titus. Mom
